I love this Peanut Butter Oatmeal Smoothie! This smoothie is super special because it tastes like a peanut butter cream pie! So creamy, you would never know it’s dairy-free and has NO banana!
This smoothie is creamy, delicious, and naturally sweetened with maple syrup! Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack! You will LOVE this!

Do you see how creamy this smoothie is?? I am not joking I made this smoothie every day for two weeks after I created the recipe! It is PERFECT! Sometimes you just want a different smoothie that is not fruit based. Something creamy, sweet, and satisfying. THIS is IT!
This recipe is incredibly easy to prepare, making it perfect for a quick breakfast, lunch, snack, or even dessert!

Ingredient Notes
The best thing about this recipe is that it has only 5 main ingredients! Many of these ingredients you already have in your fridge or pantry! For this delicious recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

- Coconut milk-for this recipe, I used canned light coconut milk, but feel free to use any coconut milk that you have on hand, or your preferred milk of choice.
- Almond milk-I used unsweetened plain almond milk for this recipe, but feel free to use any preferred milk (soy milk or oat milk will do just fine)
- Peanut butter-use your favorite peanut butter for this recipe. I used both natural peanut butter and peanut butter powder in this recipe, and both turned out delicious!
- Maple syrup-feel free to substitute with a sweetener of choice like honey or agave nectar.
- Old-fashioned oats-I had old-fashioned quick-cooking oats on hand, and this worked great!
- Optional: Sea salt and cinnamon
Don’t forget the ice!

Use the following step-by-step instructions for how to make this delicious peanut butter smoothie without banana:

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender.

Blend until the smoothie has a creamy texture. I blended on high for about 1 minute.

Then, pour into a serving glass.

Taste then Enjoy!
Tip: Using a high-powered blender is extremely helpful to ensure that the oats are completely broken down to create a thick, creamy, smoothie consistency.

Storage Tips
This delicious, creamy smoothie recipe makes two perfect servings!
However, if you do manage to have leftovers, feel free to store the leftover smoothie in a sealed ice cube tray for up to 3 months, for easy blending and serving in the future.
I have also used the leftovers to make a chocolate peanut butter smoothie and overnight oats! I add leftover smoothie, additional oats, and (chia seeds, flax seeds or hemp seeds) to a mason jar and store it in the fridge overnight for a quick breakfast!

- Using a high-powered blender is extremely helpful to ensure that the oats are completely broken down to create a thick, creamy, smoothie consistency.
- Don’t skip the sea salt! It creates the perfect salty, sweet treat!
- Avoid adding too many ice cubes to your smoothie. Use 1-1 1/2 cups of ice for this recipe for the perfect creamy consistency.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Soaking oats before adding them to a smoothie is not necessary. Adding raw oats to a smoothie mixture is not only safe but adds fiber, protein, a light sweetness, and helps to thicken your smoothie!
Common smoothie thickeners include ice, plain Greek yogurt, frozen banana, oats, peanut butter, nuts, granola, and fruit. Veggies like avocado and cauliflower are great for this as well.
If your homemade smoothie is too watery, consider adding a smoothie thickener to your recipe. For this recipe, feel free to add another banana, more oats, or more ice! To prevent a watery smoothie, blend your smoothie until just combined and avoid adding too much liquid.
