Ingredient Notes
The best thing about this recipe is that it has only 5 main ingredients! Many of these ingredients you already have in your fridge or pantry! For this delicious recipe you will need the following ingredients:

- Coconut milk-for this recipe I used canned light coconut milk but feel free to use any coconut milk that you have on hand, or your preferred milk of choice.
- Almond milk-I used unsweetened plain almond milk for this recipe but feel free to use any preferred milk that you have on hand.
- Peanut butter-use your favorite peanut butter for this recipe. I have used all natural creamy peanut butter, and peanut butter powder, for this recipe and both were delicious!
- Maple syrup-feel free to substitute honey, or agave nectar.
- Old fashioned oats-I had old fashioned quick cooking oats on hand, and this worked great!
- Optional: Sea salt
Don't forget the ice!

Storage Tips
This delicious, creamy, smoothie recipe makes 2 perfect servings!
However, if you do manage to have leftovers feel free to store the left over smoothie in a sealed ice cube tray for up to 3 months, for easy blending and serving in the future.
I have also used the leftovers to make peanut butter smoothie overnight oats! I add leftover smoothie, additional oats, and chia seeds to a mason jar and store in the fridge overnight for a quick breakfast!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Soaking oats before adding to a smoothie is not necessary. Adding raw oats to a smoothie mixture is not only safe but adds fiber, protein, a light sweetness, and helps to thicken your smoothie!
Common smoothie thickeners consist of: ice, yogurt, banana, oats, peanut butter, nuts, granola, or fruit. This smoothie contains ice, bananas, and oats for the perfect, thickened smoothie consistency.
If your homemade smoothie is watery, feel free to add a smoothie thickener to your recipe. For this recipe you can add another banana, more oats, and more ice! To prevent a watery smoothie, ensure that you only blend your smoothie until just combined and avoid adding too much liquid to your smoothie mix.
