Let’s be honest, we are busy! Sometimes all we have time to do is to throw a few ingredients in a blender and blend! But we also want that smoothie to be nutritious, filling, and craveworthy! Enter this healthy chocolate banana smoothie! So addictive with real chunks of dark chocolate and creamy almond milk!

This recipe is so easy to prepare, which makes it the perfect quick breakfast, lunch, snack, or even dessert!

The best thing about this recipe is that it has only 7 main ingredients! Many of these ingredients you already have in your fridge or pantry! For this delicious recipe you will need the following ingredients:

  • Banana-using ripe bananas for this recipe is the best to enhance the actual sweetness!
  • Walnuts-you can also use peanuts, macadamia nuts, or almonds.
  • Maple syrup-feel free to substitute honey, or agave nectar.
  • Dates-I used Medjool dates but feel free to use any dates or date syrup.
  • Vanilla Extract-feel free to use vanilla bean paste, or vanilla extract.
  • Almond milk-I used unsweetened plain almond milk for this recipe but feel free to use any preferred milk that you have on hand.
  • Optional: Sea salt

Combine all ingredients in your blender.

However, if you do manage to have leftovers feel free to store the left over smoothie in a sealed ice cube tray for up to 3 months, for easy blending and serving in the future.

I have also used the leftovers to make banana smoothie overnight oats! I add leftover smoothie, additional oats, and chia seeds to a mason jar and store in the fridge overnight for a quick breakfast!
