Chili’s Chicken Parm Big Crispy Sandwich Goes Nationwide October 20: Here’s How to Order It

Chili’s is expanding its Chicken Parm Big Crispy sandwich nationwide today, October 20, pairing its crispy chicken sandwich with fried mozzarella and marinara sauce.

One detail to know before looking for it on the menu: customers need to ask a Chili’s team member for the sandwich. That instruction is part of the company’s rollout announcement, so ordering is a little different than choosing a prominently listed entree.

The nationwide release follows an October 13 introduction in three cities: Florence, Kentucky; Rome, Georgia; and Venice, Florida. Today’s development is the broader availability, not the original announcement.

What Is in the Chicken Parm Big Crispy?

According to Chili’s October 13 announcement, the sandwich combines the existing Big Crispy chicken sandwich with the chain’s Fried Mozzarella and marinara sauce.

The distinction is the cheese preparation. Rather than relying only on a layer of melted cheese, the sandwich includes fried mozzarella alongside the crispy chicken. Nation’s Restaurant News describes the mozzarella as planks layered with the sauce.

That makes this a chicken Parmesan-inspired variation in Chili’s chicken sandwich lineup, not a separate plated chicken Parmesan dinner.

It also brings together two products already associated with the restaurant. The Big Crispy provides the sandwich base, while the Fried Mozzarella adds another breaded component.

Those are verified features of the build, not a taste-test judgment about whether the combination is better than another chicken sandwich.

Fries, Mac and Cheese, and Two Dipping Sauces

The advertised serving includes more than the sandwich.

Chili’s lists fries and white cheddar macaroni and cheese as the accompanying sides. Marinara and house-made ranch are served separately for dipping.

The extra marinara is in addition to the sauce layered into the sandwich. Customers therefore have both the assembled sandwich and a separate portion of sauce to use with the meal.

The announcement does not detail substitution rules, customization charges, or whether every location offers the same ordering options. Diners seeking a change to the sides or sandwich should confirm those details with their restaurant rather than assume another location’s arrangement applies.

Ask for It by Name

The clearest ordering instruction is also the most important: ask for the Chicken Parm Big Crispy.

In its report on the sandwich’s introduction, Nation’s Restaurant News describes it as an off-menu offering that customers can request by name beginning October 20.

The company’s announcement also says guests must request it through a team member. Neither source establishes that it can be selected through every online ordering channel.

If it doesn’t appear in an app or on a restaurant’s ordering page, that absence alone doesn’t settle whether the location can prepare it. Contacting the restaurant is the more direct way to check.

Before ordering, confirm the price, included sides, and current availability.

Why Three Cities Got It First

Chili’s introduced the sandwich October 13 in Florence, Kentucky; Rome, Georgia; and Venice, Florida, choosing three U.S. cities that share names with Italian destinations.

The Dallas Morning News’ October 19 coverage explains that the three cities received early access before the nationwide expansion. The campaign included a promotional video filmed in Florence, Kentucky, featuring Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

That campaign provides background for the launch, but it doesn’t change the consumer details: the same sandwich is now scheduled for broader availability, and customers are instructed to ask a Chili’s team member to order it.

The company also announced location-specific opening promotions for the initial three restaurants. Those earlier offers should not be interpreted as nationwide benefits accompanying today’s rollout.

A New Addition to the Big Crispy

The Chicken Parm version follows the Big Crispy lineup introduced in April.

Nation’s Restaurant News identifies it as the seventh variation, joining options including the original, Deluxe, spicy, Nashville Hot, Honey Chipotle, and Buffalo sandwiches.

The new version changes the toppings and flavor direction without changing the underlying chicken-sandwich concept. For customers familiar with the earlier lineup, the main differences are the fried mozzarella, marinara, and accompanying meal components.

Would fried mozzarella and marinara make you try a different chicken sandwich, or would you stay with the version you already know?
