Philadelphia Street Food Festival Returns October 24–25 With Food Priced at $5 or Less.

Choosing where to eat can be the hardest part of a weekend outing. Philadelphia’s Street Food Festival offers a different approach: browse food from more than 30 vendors, with individual food items advertised at $5 or less.

The fifth annual festival returns October 24–25, 2026, to Stateside Live! at 1100 Pattison Avenue. Food trucks and restaurants will share the event with live music, interactive performances, and a giant cheese fry bar.

The price ceiling is the central draw, but it comes with an important distinction. This is a ticketed event, not a free street fair, and general admission does not include unlimited food. Visitors should budget separately for entry, food purchases, and any additional drinks.

What the $5 Food Price Means

According to the organizer’s Philadelphia Street Food Festival ticket listing, all food items will cost $5 or less. The event uses food vouchers rather than direct cash payments at participating food vendors.

Vouchers are sold in sheets of five for $5. Visitors buy them at voucher booths and use them to pay at participating restaurants and trucks.

One practical detail to handle before arriving: food-voucher purchases are cash-only. The organizer says ATMs will be available, but bringing cash avoids relying on on-site withdrawals. Visitors can also buy additional beverages at participating bars using cash or cards.

The format lets visitors try food from different businesses without committing to a single restaurant for the entire outing. However, the advertised price cap doesn’t set portion sizes, and several purchases can add up. A $5 item is a price point, not a promise of a complete meal.

More Than 30 Vendors, Without a Fixed Dining Plan

The event advertises more than 30 food trucks and restaurants. That gives the weekend its food-discovery angle: visitors can review the offerings before deciding where to spend their vouchers.

The official pages reviewed for this preview do not provide a complete named vendor roster or item-by-item menu. Therefore, do not assume specific cuisines, dishes, or portion sizes.

What is confirmed is the overall setup. Stateside Live! lists food trucks and restaurants alongside entertainment and activities, while Visit Philadelphia also includes the festival in its October 19–25 weekend guide.

For anyone attending primarily to eat, the useful question is not how many vendors can be checked off. It is which offerings best match the visitor’s budget and appetite.

A Cheese Fry Bar Shares the Billing

A giant cheese fry bar is among the attractions listed on the Stateside Live! festival page. The venue does not list its full topping selection, serving format, or individual prices in that listing.

That makes it a confirmed feature, but not something to describe as unlimited or included with admission.

A chocolate fountain is also advertised, with a narrower condition: it is a VIP benefit scheduled for noon–2 p.m. Visitors buying general admission should not assume it is part of their ticket.

These distinctions matter when comparing ticket packages. Some attractions are part of the general festival program, while others are tied to admission level or a specific time window.

Music and Activities Fill Out the Weekend

The planned entertainment includes live bands, DJs, an interactive breakdancing show, drumline performances and a basketball showcase. The listings also advertise a vendor market, an art walk and children’s activities, including pumpkin painting, face painting and bounce houses.

In its Philadelphia weekend guide, Visit Philadelphia highlights the combination of food, music and activities across the two-day event.

That broader program gives groups options between food stops. Individual performance times are not detailed in the pages reviewed, so visitors with a particular activity in mind should check for updates before leaving home.

Tickets, Entry Times and the Closing-Time Question

General-admission entry begins at 2 p.m. VIP entry begins at noon. General admission includes one drink, with nonalcoholic options listed alongside alcoholic beverages. The VIP package advertises $20 in food vouchers and four drink vouchers, among other benefits. Alcohol purchases and consumption require guests to be 21 or older with valid identification.

Guests should check current admission prices at checkout rather than infer them from the $5 food promotion. Stateside Live! says tickets will not be sold at the door.

Closing information is inconsistent. The Eventbrite listing and ticket-package descriptions show an 8 p.m. finish, while the venue’s FAQ says 9 p.m. Anyone planning to arrive late should confirm the closing time directly before traveling.

What to Know Before Going

Stateside Live! says re-entry is not permitted after leaving the ticketed area. The event includes indoor and outdoor areas and is scheduled to proceed rain or shine, subject to severe-weather updates.

The organizer lists free admission for children 10 and younger. For younger attendees generally, the venue states that guests under 21 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian over 25. Families should review that venue policy when planning their visit.

The weekend’s appeal is straightforward: several food stops in one place, with a stated ceiling on individual food prices. The total value will depend on admission, purchases, and how much of the wider program a visitor wants to enjoy.

Would you use that lineup to revisit familiar favorites, or save part of your food budget for a vendor you have never tried?
