Nothing Bundt Cakes Is Bringing Back Oreo Dirt Cake and Yes, There’s a Gummy Worm on Top

Nothing Bundt Cakes is giving Halloween dessert a cookies-and-pudding makeover. Its Oreo Dirt Cake Bundtlet returns Oct. 26 through Nov. 8, combining Chocolate Chip cake, Oreo cookie pieces, a chocolate-pudding filling, and a fruity gummy worm. It is one of three featured fall flavors in the bakery chain’s seasonal rollout, alongside German Chocolate and Pumpkin Spice.

The catch is the calendar: these treats won’t all arrive at once. German Chocolate is available Oct. 5–18; Pumpkin Spice is scheduled for Oct. 12–Nov. 29, and Oreo Dirt Cake follows later in the month. The staggered schedule is part of Bundtember, a seasonal promotion that began Oct. 5 and runs through Jan. 3, with additional winter offerings still to come.

Oreo Dirt Cake Brings the Halloween Personality

The Oreo Dirt Cake Bundtlet takes its cues from the familiar dessert combination of chocolate-cookie crumbs, pudding, and gummy worms, but puts cake at the center. Nothing Bundt Cakes describes it as a Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake with Oreo pieces crumbled on top and bottom, a creamy chocolate-pudding filling, and gummy-worm decoration. This is not simply an Oreo-flavored cake with a seasonal name; the pudding and candy are part of the announced build.

The brand’s upcoming-flavor page sums it up as “Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake baked with OREO® Cookie pieces, filled with creamy chocolate pudding, and topped with a gummy worm.” That is the verified product description, not a tasting verdict. The ingredients promise several textures, but whether the finished combination becomes your favorite will depend on a purchase, not a menu announcement.

Oreo Dirt Cake will be offered in personal-sized Bundtlets, not across the chain’s full range of cake sizes. Its two-week run includes Halloween and continues into the following week, ending Nov. 8. Availability is limited and subject to supplies, so the announced dates should be treated as the sales window rather than a guarantee that a particular bakery will have it whenever you arrive.

For anyone considering it for an October gathering, that distinction matters. You cannot assume the chain will make a large Oreo Dirt Cake simply because larger Bundt Cakes appear elsewhere on its menu. This particular release is a Bundtlet offering, making it an individual-dessert option. It also is not scheduled to arrive until Oct. 26, so an earlier Halloween celebration would need a different choice.

German Chocolate Goes First, Then Pumpkin Spice

Before the gummy worm gets its moment, German Chocolate is taking the first turn in the spotlight. Available Oct. 5–18, it uses a Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake with a German chocolate filling made from toasted coconut and butter-roasted pecan pieces. Chocolate ganache frosting and an additional chocolate drizzle finish the dessert, giving this entry a distinctly different flavor profile from the pudding-filled Oreo release.

Like Oreo Dirt Cake, German Chocolate is being sold exclusively as a personal-sized Bundtlet while supplies last. The chain’s official flavor page describes it as “Baked and filled with classic German Chocolate filling, made with toasted coconut and butter-roasted pecan pieces, finished with creamy chocolate ganache frosting.” Coconut and pecans are central to the recipe, not optional garnishes on an otherwise standard chocolate cake.

Pumpkin Spice takes the more traditional autumn route: a richly spiced pumpkin cake topped with the bakery’s signature cream cheese frosting. The announced national schedule runs Oct. 12 through Nov. 29, and this flavor is available in all Bundt Cake sizes, not just Bundtlets. That makes it the lineup’s more flexible choice for customers looking for either an individual treat or a larger dessert.

There is one scheduling wrinkle worth flagging. When checked, the brand’s upcoming-flavor page listed Pumpkin Spice twice: once under “Now Baking” with an Oct. 5 start and again under “Coming Soon” with an Oct. 12 start. The Oct. 12 date matches the published rollout announcement. Anyone seeking Pumpkin Spice before then should check their local bakery rather than assume the conflicting website entries confirm nationwide early availability.

The Dates Matter More Than the October Label

The clearest way to plan is to treat this as a sequence, not a single three-flavor launch. German Chocolate’s announced window closes Oct. 18, eight days before Oreo Dirt Cake’s begins. Those two Bundtlets do not share a scheduled release window. Pumpkin Spice, meanwhile, overlaps with both, giving customers a seasonal alternative during either chocolate-focused promotion without suggesting that all three will be available together.

Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries nationwide are promoting the fall offerings, with ordering available for pickup or delivery. However, the announcement does not set a single nationwide price for these treats. Check the selected bakery’s ordering information for pricing and availability before building a party budget around them. “While supplies last” is especially relevant to the two short-run Bundtlets, whose limited windows leave less room to postpone a dessert run.

Bundtember extends beyond these October arrivals, but it doesn’t extend every flavor’s shelf life. Oreo Dirt Cake ends Nov. 8 under the announced schedule, while Pumpkin Spice continues through Nov. 29. The company says more seasonal flavors and products will follow in winter; the fall announcement doesn’t identify them. For now, the verified Halloween highlight is wonderfully specific: chocolate cake, Oreo pieces, pudding in the middle, and a gummy worm ready for its close-up.
