Jollibee Adds Honey Garlic Fried Chicken and a Cucumber-Topped Chicken Sandwich

Jollibee is bringing honey garlic glaze to two familiar menu formats: bone-in fried chicken and a crispy chicken sandwich topped with cucumber and fried garlic.

The company says the limited-time lineup became available October 15 at participating restaurants in the United States and Canada. Customers can choose a two-piece chicken combo, six-piece or ten-piece buckets, or the Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich.

Both products use the same named glaze, but their construction differs. The bone-in chicken puts the coating and garlic garnish directly on the pieces. The sandwich combines a glazed chicken breast fillet with sliced cucumber inside a toasted brioche-style bun.

Honey and Garlic Lead the Flavor

In its October 13 announcement, Jollibee describes the sauce as a blend of sweet honey and savory garlic, with a subtly spicy finish.

The company says it hand-dips the chicken in the glaze and finishes it with fried garlic bits. That gives garlic two roles: in the sauce and as a garnish.

The glaze is the central change to the familiar fried chicken format. Rather than serving the flavor as a separate dip, Jollibee coats the chicken before adding the fried garlic.

The company’s description emphasizes sweetness and garlic, with spice as a supporting note. It does not position either item as a heat-focused addition.

Bone-In Chicken Comes in Three Formats

The Honey Garlic Bone-In Fried Chicken comes in a two-piece combo and six- and ten-piece buckets.

Each format features glazed fried chicken topped with garlic bits. The combo and larger buckets offer different quantities of the same preparation.

For customers deciding between them, the relevant details are the number of pieces, the accompanying items offered by their selected restaurant, and whether they are ordering one meal or sharing.

The announcement does not specify the sides included in the two-piece combo. Those details can be checked through the restaurant’s ordering menu before purchasing.

The Sandwich Adds Cucumber

The Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich takes the glaze in another direction by placing a fried chicken breast fillet inside a toasted brioche-style bun.

Fresh cucumber slices and fried garlic bits complete the sandwich, according to Jollibee.

The cucumber distinguishes the two products. While the bone-in version centers on chicken, glaze, and a garlic garnish, the sandwich adds a fresh vegetable component and a brioche-style bun.

Allrecipes’ October 14 coverage also identifies the sandwich’s main components as the glazed breast fillet, cucumber, fried garlic, and brioche-style bun.

The choice is therefore about more than bone-in chicken versus a fillet. One format presents the coated pieces on their own; the other combines the same flavor with additional ingredients in an assembled sandwich.

One Sauce Connects the Menu Addition

The honey garlic lineup applies a single flavor concept across two established chicken formats.

For Jollibee, it adds another preparation to a menu already built around fried chicken, sandwiches, and other fast-food offerings. The company’s U.S. website also lists spaghetti, burgers, French fries and pies.

For customers, the distinction is straightforward: glazed bone-in pieces in several order sizes, or a sandwich with cucumber and a toasted bun.

The shared sauce links the products, while the cut of chicken, toppings, and serving format make them different meals.

Pricing and Availability

Jollibee did not include prices in its North American announcement. Customers can select a restaurant through the chain’s official website or app to review available items, meal options, and the order total.

The company lists in-store ordering, drive-thru service, its app, and its website as purchase channels for the lineup. Available ordering methods can be checked with the selected location.

The rollout covers participating restaurants in the United States and Canada. Jollibee describes the products as limited-time offerings but has not specified an end date in the announcement.

October 15 is the stated start date. Customers planning a visit can check their restaurant’s current menu and operating hours for availability.

A Different Finish for Familiar Chicken

The new lineup keeps the underlying choices recognizable while changing how the chicken is finished. Honey garlic glaze and fried garlic connect both products; cucumber and a brioche-style bun distinguish the sandwich.

For diners who prefer the sweet-and-savory combination, the choice comes down to format: coated chicken pieces or a sandwich that brings the glaze together with bread and cucumber.

When a new sauce appears across both options, which would you choose to explore its flavor: bone-in chicken with the glaze front and center, or a sandwich with all the components in one bite?
