How to Make Twinkie Mummies for a Spooky Halloween Treat
Gather Your Ingredients
The first step in making Twinkie Mummies is to gather all your ingredients. You’ll need Twinkies (store-bought or homemade), white chocolate chips, vegetable oil (for melting the chocolate), and candy eyes. You can also use frosting to make the “bandages” around the Twinkies, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
Melt the Chocolate
Once your Twinkies are frozen, it’s time to melt the chocolate. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with vegetable oil in 30-second intervals until smooth. Make sure to stir the chocolate after each interval to prevent it from burning.
Add the Mummy Details
Place the coated Twinkies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Now, it’s time to add the mummy details. Using a piping bag (or a ziplock bag with a small hole cut in the corner), pipe frosting in a zigzag pattern on the coated Twinkies to create the bandages.
Place the candy eyes on top of the frosting.
Allow the Twinkie Mummies to cool and set before serving.

Instructions
- Melt the chocolate according to the package instructions.
- Pour the chocolate into a piping bag and cut the tip off the bag.
- Drizzle the chocolate over the top of each Twinkie to create mummy “bandages.”
- Add two candy eyes to the top of each cookie, then allow the chocolate to set before serving.
