Prep Time 20 minutes mins
Cook Time 10 minutes mins
Total Time 30 minutes mins
- 4 Russet Potatoes thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them into very thin rounds with a sharp knife.
As you slice the potatoes, heat the oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 400°F.
Once all the potatoes are sliced, pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Carefully add the potato slices to the hot oil, frying in batches if needed. Stir gently every couple of minutes to ensure even cooking.
While the chips are frying, mix garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, and dried parsley in a bowl to make the seasoning.
When the chips are golden and crisp, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Let the chips rest for at least 5 minutes, then toss them in the seasoning mixture while still slightly warm.
Allow the chips to cool completely before serving or storing for later.
