Laura Loomer Says “Nobody Cares About Joe Biden” as Hunter Details Former President’s Painful Cancer Battle

Joe Biden’s cancer battle is intensely personal. But in American politics, even cancer can become part of the fight.

A candid update from Hunter Biden about his father’s worsening health triggered a fierce response from conservative activist Laura Loomer, who responded in an August 9 post on X, writing, “For the record: Nobody cares about @JoeBiden.” She went on to argue that Biden’s cancer could have been treated earlier and accused his family and doctors of concealing his health problems.

The timing made the exchange especially striking. Hunter had just described what it is like watching his father live with an aggressive prostate cancer that has spread further, leaving the former president dealing with significant pain.

“It’s very painful,” Hunter said during an interview with the BBC. “It’s very debilitating.” Hunter also called his father’s condition “really sad to watch,” while describing Biden as someone who still rarely complains. Loomer responded with almost the opposite emotion: no sympathy at all.

Joe Biden, now 83, publicly revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis after leaving the White House. He was diagnosed in May 2025, about four months after Donald Trump returned to office in January. The diagnosis was serious.

Biden’s cancer carried a Gleason score of nine, Grade Group 5, and had already metastasized to his bones. His office described the cancer as aggressive but hormone-sensitive, a characteristic that opened treatment options for managing the disease.

Biden subsequently underwent radiation and hormone therapy as doctors worked to control the cancer. For much of that period, the former president publicly projected optimism.

In July 2026, while announcing his upcoming presidential memoir, “Promise Me, America,” Biden said he had been receiving treatment and that his treatment was going well.

“I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family,” Biden said while discussing life after the presidency. He added that he was dealing with the cancer diagnosis and receiving treatment.

Hunter’s August comments painted a tougher picture of what that treatment journey looks like away from cameras. “My dad is, to this day, the center of our family,” Hunter said. He described Biden as “the best father, the best husband, the best grandfather.”

But he also acknowledged the reality of the disease. Hunter said his father’s cancer had metastasized into his bones “and further,” and described watching him deal with the illness as really difficult for family.

Former first lady Jill Biden has offered her own glimpse into that reality. She recently said her husband was “doing okay,” but revealed that he had experienced troubling urinary symptoms before his diagnosis, including waking seven times nightly.

“Unfortunately for Joe, it metastasized to his bones,” Jill said while discussing the diagnosis. She explained that living with his cancer now involves testing every three months, medication and continuous attention.

“It’s constant. It’s daily. And I think it’s challenging,” she said.

Loomer Offers No Sympathy

Loomer was unmoved by the family’s descriptions. Reacting to Hunter’s interview, she opened her post with four words that immediately defined its tone: “Nobody cares about @JoeBiden.”

She then claimed Biden had cancer during his presidency, arguing that Biden could have received better treatment if he had been honest about his condition while serving in the White House.

Loomer also accused Biden’s doctors of misleading Americans and alleged that his family and staff concealed serious health problems. She directed some of her harshest language at Hunter. “You’ll need to cry to someone else, @HunterBiden,” Loomer wrote.

She accused Biden’s relatives of allowing him to remain in office despite his condition and concluded her attack with another unmistakable message: “We do not care.”

But there is an important factual line separating Loomer’s political accusations from what has been publicly established.

Biden’s publicly disclosed cancer timeline does not establish that he knew he had prostate cancer throughout his presidency. The information released after his diagnosis says doctors investigated him following increasing urinary symptoms and the discovery of a prostate nodule before the May 2025 diagnosis.

Questions about whether the cancer might have been detected earlier are different from proof that Biden knowingly concealed a cancer diagnosis for four years. That distinction matters. Loomer also alleged that Biden had Alzheimer’s disease. No publicly released diagnosis cited in the documented medical history establishes that claim.

Questions surrounding Biden’s age, stamina and mental sharpness were certainly part of his presidency. They became especially intense after his troubled June 2024 debate performance, which contributed to growing Democratic pressure before he ultimately abandoned his reelection campaign.

But political suspicion and medical diagnosis are not interchangeable.

The Cancer Battle Meets Biden’s Political Legacy

There is another layer to Biden’s cancer story that makes the moment particularly personal. Cancer shaped his life long before he became a patient himself.

His son Beau Biden died of brain cancer in 2015 at 46. Joe Biden later became closely associated with the Cancer Moonshot initiative, first as vice president and again during his presidency, pushing for advances in cancer prevention, detection and treatment.

When Biden publicly addressed his own diagnosis in May 2025, his message was notably different from the political argument now surrounding it. “Cancer touches us all,” Biden wrote. He thanked supporters and said he and Jill had learned that “we are strongest in the broken places.”

The diagnosis also initially produced sympathy across political lines. But more than a year later, Hunter Biden’s description of his father’s pain has collided with unresolved arguments over Biden’s health while president.

Those are two separate questions.

There is room to debate whether the White House should have provided more information about Biden’s health, whether age affected his performance and whether Americans received enough transparency during his presidency.

What cannot simply be assumed is that Biden secretly knew he had metastatic prostate cancer for all four years of his administration.

The confirmed story is already consequential without adding speculation. Joe Biden is living with aggressive prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. His wife says managing the disease is a daily challenge. His son says watching him endure the pain is difficult.

And Laura Loomer has made equally clear where she stands. “Nobody cares about @JoeBiden,” she wrote. In an era when almost every part of public life becomes political ammunition, Biden’s cancer battle has now joined that list.
