Subway Is Offering Free Footlong Sandwiches Every Day Until November 8

If a Subway sandwich has been on your lunch wish list, this might be a good time to stop by. The chain is giving customers a chance to get a free Footlong sandwich with the purchase of another one, and the offer runs through November 8, 2026.

The promotion is part of Subway’s early National Sandwich Day celebration, which also brings back two menu favorites that have been missing for years. There is a small catch, though. Customers must be members of Subway’s Sub Club rewards program and place their orders through the company’s website or mobile app.

The deal is fairly straightforward: buy one qualifying Footlong sandwich and get another one free. However, the free sandwich must be the same price as or cheaper than the one purchased, so customers cannot buy a cheaper sub and use the offer to get a more expensive one for free.

Both existing and new Sub Club members can participate. The offer is automatically added to eligible members’ wallets in the Subway app, making it easier to find when placing an order.

A few other conditions to remember: The deal is available at participating US restaurants through Subway’s app and website, but not through third-party delivery services. Customers can use the offer once per order, and additional toppings, applicable taxes, and other charges are not included in the free sandwich offer.

The Deal Runs Through November 8

Subway launched the promotion on October 27, giving customers nearly two weeks to take advantage of the offer. It will remain available through Sunday, November 8, including November 3, the actual date of National Sandwich Day.

Interestingly, the chain decided to celebrate the sandwich holiday early this year. November 3 also falls on Election Day, and Subway wanted to give its sandwiches some attention before the busy day.

The company announced the change on October 21, explaining that it was moving its National Sandwich Day celebration forward by one week. The Footlong promotion is part of that celebration, rather than a permanent change to the restaurant’s regular pricing.

Some Footlong Sandwiches Are Excluded

Not every sandwich on the Subway menu qualifies for the promotion, so it is worth checking before deciding what to order. The offer excludes three varieties: Fresh Fit sandwiches, the 5 Meat Italian, and Big Hot Pastrami.

Customers can choose from other eligible Footlong options, as long as the free sandwich doesn’t cost more than the purchased one. They should also remember that extra toppings cost extra.

The offer also can’t be combined with other promotions. Those planning to order through a delivery app should also know that third-party delivery orders are not eligible, even if the restaurant itself participates in the promotion.

Two Familiar Subway Favorites Are Back

The free sandwich is not the only reason Subway fans might be interested in this promotion. The chain has also brought back its Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub, a sandwich that last appeared on its menu in 2014.

It features rotisserie-style chicken marinated in enchilada sauce, crunchy Fritos corn chips, and smoky Baja Chipotle sauce. Monterey Cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions complete the combination.

That is quite a lineup of flavors for anyone who enjoys a little crunch and heat in their sandwich. The returning sub is available for a limited time, giving longtime fans another opportunity to try something they may remember from more than a decade ago.

The Caramel Apple Cookie Makes a Comeback Too

For customers who prefer something sweet after lunch, Subway has another returning favorite. Its Caramel Apple Cookie is back after last appearing on the menu in 2021.

The cookie combines apple pieces, caramel chips, and salted caramel crunch, finished with a drizzle of caramel icing. It brings together familiar fall flavors in a dessert that is a little different from the usual chocolate chip cookie.

Subway is offering the returning sandwich and cookie for a limited time as part of its National Sandwich Day celebration. The company has not announced a specific end date for either item, so customers interested in trying them may want to check availability at their local restaurant.

Is the Subway Free Footlong Deal Worth Trying?

For anyone already planning to buy two sandwiches, this promotion offers a straightforward way to save on lunch. It may also be a good opportunity for friends, couples, or family members to order together and split the cost of a meal.

Just remember that the free Footlong requires a qualifying purchase, and you must join Sub Club to access the offer. Customers can sign up through the Subway app or website and check whether their local restaurant participates.

The promotion ends November 8, so there is still time to take advantage of it. And with the return of the Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub and Caramel Apple Cookie, Subway is giving sandwich fans a couple of extra reasons to visit.
