Ingredients: cooked black beans jalapenos garlic red onion tomatoes cilantro leaves Juice of 1 lime neutral oil cumin smoked paprika dried oregano sea salt

Step 1:

Cut the tops off the jalapeños and slice them in half. Remove some or all of the seeds and ribs if you want less heat.

Step 2:

Slightly crush the garlic cloves and peel them. Finely dice the red onion and chop the tomato. Wash and chop the cilantro, then set it aside. Heat the oil in a heavy Cast Iron Skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 3:

Place the jalapeño halves and garlic cloves in the skillet. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side until they are browned and softened. Remove them from the Cast Iron Skillet and chop finely.

Step 4:

Reduce the heat to medium and return the skillet and oil. Add the beans, garlic, jalapeños, cumin, paprika, and oregano. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly, until heated through.
