Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Brush with avocado oil, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Air fry for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking. The asparagus should be tender-crisp with a slight char.
